Behind the scenes of the Myers Autumn/Winter 2011 Fashion Show
Hello! Well if you’re into fashion and you live in Australia, then you will know about the Loréal Melbourne Fashion Festival or LMFF for short. I always heard about it going on but this year I was fortunate enough to be hired by Illamasqua to shoot a behind the scenes of the make up and hair for the Myers Autumn/Winter 2011 Fashion Show, one of the main events and pretty much the kick off for LMFF. I had no idea what the shooting conditions were going to be like for this job. Pretty much the only thing I knew was the time of day and the location. It was the afternoon, so I was hoping for sun, but it started raining on the way =(. In my bag I had my trusty little D60, the 18-55mm kit lens and the 50mm 1.4 G. The nifty-fifty is great for sharp photos and really low light and the 18-55mm is excellent for a wide shots. I also had an Sb600 flash and diffuser dome that I didn’t want to use, but good to have just in case. These were taken a month ago at least, but I wasn’t allowed to post them because Illamasqua and Myers get first picks of which press gets what photos. These are just my favorite 30 from the day, to see the others you can go the flickr set HERE. Enjoy!
